what is decorative concrete what is acid stain what is Stenciled concrete what is overlay
Decorative Concrete is the use of color and patterns to transform ordinary gray concrete into beautiful and functional work areas or living spaces.
Acid stains utilize acid and colorants to chemically react with the lime in the surface of the concrete, producing a permanent coloration that is rich and vibrant. Each concrete surface reacts to the acid stain in varying degrees of intensity, creating stunning, multi-hued variations that can resemble stone, marble, and other types of expensive flooring but at a fraction of the cost.

Acid Stain can be applied to new or existing concrete.

Stenciled concrete is the application of a patterned stencil to the surface of concrete to create a surface design that is unique to you. This surface is uniform and level, providing greater control over drainage and slope without sacrificing the natural beauty of stone, tile, or brick. this flatter, yet skip-resistant, surface is a great choice for high traffic areas.

Stencil can be combined with Acid Stain to achieve even greater color depth and detail. A wide range of patterns and colors are available, giving you more choices to customize your space.

Overlay is a thin coat of cementitious topping that is applied to your existing concrete surface in order to repair or beautify. It can add depth to a surface, or it can be as thin as 1/8" of an inch.

This process is used to refurbish structurally sound concrete that is old and ugly, without the expensive cost of removal. Overlay can be finished with patterns, textures, and colors to create the appearance of stone, brick, slate, tiles, or cobbles.
